A popular minister of the Gospel needed an example to teach the congregation the power of honor. So he took us back to our childhood and mom’s special plates.
You know those plates that only come out when the occasion is terribly important? Yeah! He said mom only brought those out when there was a “triumphant entry.” 😂
You can imagine the laughter that erupted from the congregation. But he had made his point. We learnt the importance of communicating honor to whom it is due. Dad is the head of the home; that honor is his. The plate he eats from must communicate that honor.
It reminds me of an occurrence — quite a number of them really — that occured during my childhood. I had broken mommy’s favourite plate.
“Ah! My own has surely finished,” I fretted. 😨
But it would seem mommy had another ‘favourite’ we didn’t quite know of. She just went into ‘that room’ and brought out another set! Like the ones you find on the TZW website! 🙈
Still, I didn’t learn my lesson: I broke it. . . again! 😂
It was at that point that my mom declared that my husband, in addition to the items on the bridal list, would buy ALL her plates. 😂
I should have pitied him in advance. But no, I still broke some more. 🙈
Hopefully you don’t have a daughter like me. But even if you do, TZW Hotel and Home Collection has plates that will serve you well. Plates that will communicate honor and respect to your significant other, your guests, your loved ones. Plates fit for kings and queens.
And if your daughter breaks them. . .em, add it to her dowry. 🙈
